GWK is located fiften minutes from the international airport. The Garuda Wisnu Kencana has 3 statues. There are the Hand of Wisnu (near the parking lot), the Garuda of Wisnu (the Giant Bird), and the most well known statue is the Wisnu (the head and half the body).
They were designed and built by Nyoman Nuarta, one of Indonesia’s foremost modern sculptor. The statue and its pedestal will be surrounded by more than 240 hectares cultural park. The GWK Statue should be huge monument,150 m tall & 64 m wide. The head of Wisnu is 20m tall and the head of Garuda Bird is 15m.
The park also provide attractions for both local and foreign visitors with supporting facilities such as Lotus Pond, Festival Park, Amphitheater, Street Theater, Exhibition Hall, and Jendela Bali The Panoramic Resto and souvenir shop.
The first class acoustic environment of the 800 seat amphitheateris peerless venue for intimate cultural performance.
